Geopark guides are important ambassadors for our natural geological heritage and local environment. They are qualified and experienced communicators with a good knowledge about the Geopark localities. With the local geology as the starting point, they show the interrelationships between the geology and the surrounding nature, historical and social development.
Our guides must complete a training program in order to get their certification as "Certified Geopark Guides". This is a quality control that benefits the public. Our geological heritage must be managed according to sustainable development and our guides will give you the knowledge and background necessary for understanding this.
The guides are used only on our pre-arranged tours. You may visit our featured localities at any time and educate yourself. Have a good tour!
